Grand Lady Turn of the Century Home

The rooms look to be a nice size, except for the bedrooms, they look small. And I surely do like the color of the walls in what may be the dining room. Looks like there is one electrical outlet per wall in that room. I do wish we could have steam radiators in newer housing.

Suspicious that there are so many pictures of the outside and fewer of the interior, and none of the 3 bathrooms. Since it seems to be on a historical list, there will be no remodeling or updating of much. The kitchen really lacks counter space, but you could use butcher block tables. The bath off the kitchen has a shower, handy for when you are cooking up a mess.

I like the fence around the house, and just look at that outdoor storage. Hubby would think he died and went to heaven. I do love a front porch.

Are those dog runs back there? Yeah, like I'm letting a dog near that yard. Maybe the dogs just patrol the perimeter at night. Plywood between the kennels for privacy?

What's that big pink building behind the house, with the one chimney?

I don't even care what the unphotographed bathroom looks like. I don't care that I don't know what the little building with the stairs on the outside is for.

I'm sure you work everyday for six years just to pay to have it painted on the ouside. I don't care.

This is what lust in my heart looks like.

So, You Want to be a Cowgirl.

Did you read Even Cowgirls Get the Blues? Iswear, I thought I saw one of Sissy's big thumb in one of those pictures.

The house is okay, nothing exciting. But it looks warm and solid. Since there is still snow on the ground. . . I wonder what month it generally is when people go stir crazy with nothing but snow on mountains as far as the eye can see. I bet the bedrooms are small though, and there was only a picture of half what is probably the bathroom off the master bedroom. Tub? Shower? Both?

Spacious Split Level

Animal heads. Really? Nothing like a mini-stage in the living room for that attention-seeking soul. What is that written on the dining room wall and over the front door? And why?

And why are sinks always so far from the stove? Is it because the sink is a major fire hazzard?

Is that rope hanging on a child's bedroom wall? As a parent I can totally understand that. But why take a picture of a poorly made bed and a corner full of toys just dumped into it? A picture of a bed and another of a bureau. Are these included in the purchase? And all the junk on them too?

A little scrubbing in the corners of the bathroom floor would have been advisable before taking photos. Just sayin' And even if that carpet on the lower level wasn't so badly stained, it would still have to go. Interesting laundry room down there too. Do they file the clean or the dirty clothes?

Why are there no pictures of the front of the house? What are they hiding? Are obscenities spray painted on the front?

With a dumpster and a lot of love, energy and elbow grease, this could be a nice little home for a growing family. Maybe. And does that gate that lead into a garage, with no driveway? Does this house have a garage?

Horse Farm

Where are the interior photos? Has the place been gutted? Or is the décor so horrid they can't bear to photograph it? Or, and this is the true reason I suspect, are they keeping 17 sister wives under the age of 17 inside?

Is that a sleeping porch tacked on to the front? Or an enclosed patio? Either way, it is hard to make the exterior of those attractive.

That little red building - is that the mother-in-law abode?

Do the kids in one of the photos come with the house? How many sister wives come with the house? Can any of them cook?

The metal roof does look new (A roofer told me they didn't last any longer than shingles though. I hope he's wrong about that. I like the idea of never having to put a new roof on again.), but metal siding? That stuff has to be repainted so what's the point of it? Good conductor for lightening.

Is there concrete near that basketball hoop? Or do you just dribble on dirt?

That tree house is the only thing I like. It's small enough that if the interior is trashed it wouldn't cost a lot to repair/renovate it.

They really need to cut off that dead branch that is hanging over the house. That's just begging for trouble.

Why isn't the garage door all the way down? Is it broke or did one of the kids forget to close it, again? Hope that kid doesn’t come with the house, he's forgetful or lazy.

What's the new heating system? The new wood stove?

Country Home

That is a trailer house with fake logs glued to the exterior walls. The could put a large porch or a deck on that thing and it would look a whole lot friendlier. What's with the tiny porch? And 4 car garage? What if the car in the very front needs to be moved, does everyone have to go move their car for that to happen?

If you look closely you can see the neighbor's house. Let's look at that one instead of the trailer. I also noticed the huge barn in the distance. That neighbor must be more prosperous.

And what is that unpainted shack used for? There is a fence post standing alone in one of the pictures. It reminds me of the fence on Lost. Will you be zapped if you cross that invisible line? Like those dog collars? Cheaper than putting a lowjack on the kids, that's for sure.

Perfect view of the mountains. Their way of saying you are out in the middle of nowhere and cabin fever will be a way of life.

Imitation rough-hewed log walls on the interior. Interesting choice. But that upholstery. . . Really? The curtains are a pretty green. They are taking the deer head with them aren't they? What is that in the corner that looks like a pile of antlers? The carpet will have to go, the stains must be permanent since they are in the photo. Light over dining table. Need I say more?

A beer fridge next to the bed is needed to complete the "mans-man" bedroom. I bet it hasn't seen a woman in a long time.
Where are the sellers going to find another "rustic" house to live in with that furniture? I know a man who would sleep with his fishing poles if he was allowed to. I'm not showing him that picture, his envy would burn too hot.

I've always thought wood seats on porcelain toilets was a contradiction. Tiny, tiny bathroom. Where would you store any bathroom stuff, like extra toilet paper, towels, soap dish?

That second bedroom must be ultra small to have a picture taken from that angle. And since it is the only picture of it, I bet I'm right. The other bedroom doesn't look much bigger. Kind of like you have to crawl across the bed to get to the other side of the room. Claustrophobics' nightmare! Four bedrooms?! Are you kidding? I'm sure they meant they have four closets. Why else wouldn't there be pictures of the other two bedrooms and the other bathroom?

Do you want to get me started on the kitchen or can we just agree to tear it out altogether and get a new one. In the picture with the dining room in it you can see where the kitchen is placed. That is one SMALL trailer. Yeah, show me the moose's rear end, that sums up what I think of this house.

Lovely place for one person.
